Barstow All-Stars win tourney

APPLE VALLEY • The Barstow All-Stars team, representing Barstow Youth Soccer, participated last weekend in the President’s Cup Tournament held in Apple Valley. The Barstow team was one of 16 competing in the U-14 girls division, comprised of teams from the High Desert, Inland Empire and Low Desert.

The Barstow All-Stars made it to the finals against Victorville and won by a score of 1-0. Team captain Anna Alvarado scored the winning goal, on a free kick from about 30 yards out.
