The baseball team will also have new bleachers that the will install for their opposing team’s fans that will be coming in. The wild-card will start against Norte Vista at 3:15 p.m.
Sers said that he isn’t worried about going into playoffs with the pressure of being the Desert Sky League champs.
With injuries to key players and getting adjusted to the expectations of their new coach Barstow High School coach Sean Sers they could have panicked.
“The attitudes have been the same as they have been all season,” Sers said. “There is no one thinking that they are too (confident) on the team as we go into the playoffs. Everyone is doing what they are supposed do.”
Sers, who said he doesn’t know much about Norte Vista, other than the No. 1 team in their league won a total of 20 games.
“I keep telling my kids that the team that makes the fewest mistakes will end up winning the whole thing,” Sers said. “We have to continue to play smart baseball and not make mistakes.”
