BHS Baseball: Sanchez chosen for AFLAC All-American team
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Barstow High School pitcher Aaron Sanchez was announced as a member of the AFLAC All-American team on Tuesday night at PETCO Park in San Diego.
The team is comprised of the top 40 high school juniors in the country split into two squads, East and West.
The two squads will play a game August 16th at PETCO Park and tickets can be purchased at Padres.com. The proceeds from the game will be donated to a local children’s hospital in San Diego. Hall of Fame shortstop Ozzie Smith will serve as the honorary chairman for the game.
Sanchez joins exclusive company by being named to the team. Of the team’s 230 alumnus, 65 have been drafted in the first round of the Major League Baseball entry draft and three have been taken first overall.
