Lenwood School hosts meet

LENWOOD • The Lenwood School Running Club hosted its first race of the season last Friday, taking on the Cameron School Running Club. About 100 students, ranging in age from first-sixth grade, ran the one-mile race.

Winning the race was the Cameron School’s Isaac Flores, a sixth-grader who posted a time of 6:18, followed by Lenwood fourth-grader Jalen Griego, in 6:27. The rest of the top 10: Marcus Sanchez, fifth grade (Cameron, 6:52); Adelena Lucero, sixth grade (Lenwood, 6:55); Adelena Marin, sixth grade (Cameron, 7:04); Ezekiel Dominguez, second grade (Lenwood, 7:07); Gabriel Bustos, fourth grade (Lenwood, 7:13); Caden Heywood, fifth grade (Cameron, 7:20); Joseph O’Connor, third grade (Lenwood, 7:22); Lytzy Campos, sixth grade (Lenwood, 7:31); Abby Sanchez, sixth grade (Cameron, 7:31).
