BOB CATHERWOOD, HESPERIA CHRISTIAN: Catherwood coached a deep Patriots team to its first Agape League title. HCS won nine of 10 league matches, went 6-0 in nonleague dual matches and finished third at the Sun Devil Invitational.
ATHLETE OF THE YEAR RUNNER UP
JACOB ARREOLA, SR., HESPERIA CHRISTIAN: Arreola earned the Agape League MVP with a second-place finish at league finals and the third-best nine-hole scoring average (39.7). He won six matches — four in league (counting the final round at league finals) — en route to becoming a three-time all-league honoree and a two-time CIF qualifier.
ATHLETE OF THE YEAR RUNNER UP
Joseph Conway, jr., Victor Valley Christian: Conway lost in a one-hole playoff for the Agape League MVP. He finished with the second lowest scoring average (39.3) in league, won eight matches (four in league play) and finished fourth at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
ATHLETE OF THE YEAR RUNNER UP
Alec Hutchason, jr., Apple Valley: Hutchason was the lone High Desert golfer to advance past the CIF-Southern Section Individual qualifier. He earned all-MRL honors for the third time, reached CIF for a second year in a row and won five league matches en route to being named league MVP with a 76.75 scoring average. He also took third at the Jackrabbit Invitational.
ATHLETE OF THE YEAR RUNNER UP
John Pace, sr., Barstow: Pace finished with the second lowest scoring average in the Desert Sky League at 79.1. He won three league matches and tied for fifth or better in every DSL match except for one. Pace made it to CIF for the second year in a row.
ATHLETE OF THE YEAR RUNNER UP
Bobby Sole, jr., Hesperia Christian: Sole came away with the lowest scoring average in the Agape League at 38.9. He won three league matches and six overall en route to grabbing a CIF qualifying spot for the second year in a row.
Blake Gentry, jr., Sultana: Gentry came on at the end of the season for the second-place Sultans. He finished with the fourth best scoring average in the Mojave River League (81.13) and won medalist honors twice. Gentry also finished tied for fourth at the High Desert Cup, ninth at the Jackrabbit Invitational and had a top-10 finish at the Serrano tournament.
