SVHS: Second-half comeback falls short

The Silver Valley High School football team lost its fifth straight game 36-24 against Bellarmine-Jefferson on Saturday.

Although they lost the game, the Trojans had their best offensive performance of the season at John Burroughs High School in Burbank. They were down 30-8 at halftime but started to roar back in the second half.

“We came back in the second half, but fell short,” Smalls said.

Silver Valley opens its Desert Mountain League schedule against Boron on the road Friday. The Bobcats are ranked No. 5 in the CIF-SS Northeast Division poll.
