Barstow judoka competes in Peru

On October 13, Barstow judoka Elizabeth Wright traveled to Lima, Peru with her father Bill, a Barstow Judo Club assistant coach, to compete in the Juvenile International Judo Tournament.
More than 450 Competitors from throughout Latin America were entered in the tournament.
Wright was the only competitor from the United States. She finished in second place with the silver medal, suffering a loss to her Peruvian opponent.
Wright, of the Barstow Judo Club, is trained by 8th Degree belt holder Ernest Smith.
