VICTORVILLE — A Barstow man accused of stealing an elderly woman’s vehicle earlier this month pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and carjacking charges in a Victorville courtroom Tuesday, court records show. Zachariah Vesterby, 24, answered to the two felony counts. Barstow police allege he pointed a gun at a 67-year-old old woman inside her home, fired a single shot and stole her vehicle on Nov. 16. Vesterby remained on the loose until his arrest Saturday.
