Water is free of perchlorates
This letter is in response to concerns from Golden State Water Company customers who spoke at recent California Public Utilities Commission hearings in Barstow and said they remained concerned about the water quality from the perchlorate incident one year ago.
The well that was affected by the perchlorate contamination in late November 2010 remains shut down and is not supplying water to our Barstow water system. The water in our distribution lines and all of our active wells has consistently met drinking water standards following that event.
Each week, Golden State’s industry professionals take water samples to monitor quality at the water sources and throughout the Barstow water system. We also have continued our increased frequency of our monitoring of perchlorate, going above and beyond what has been directed by the California Department of Public Health.
Our dedication to regularly providing high quality water also includes making system improvements and our commitment to ongoing preventive maintenance to ensure we protect the resource from its source to your tap as well and prevent more costly repairs that come when needed maintenance is deferred.

Everything is going bad
Here we have the government trying to stop Arizona enforcing the border protections. If the government won’t do it, who will? Illegal aliens cost us billions and don’t put any thing back. They are criminals when they come here. Why should we spend billions on them when we are flat broke? Just more Obama.
This country is going to go down the drain just like Syria, Greece, etc. The people will finely decide to some thing about corrupt government.
Then we have the repeat shootings at schools and other public places. How can an idiot get famous easier? Has any one thought the government gun banners like Feinstein, Schumer and Brady might be encouraging them so they can take away another right of the people?
