It's all part of a plan

Starting with the latest events, the economic debacle is not a sudden event. It is a planned event. If it had come up suddenly the Feds and other government agencies would not have been ready and willing to take over.

I believe the idea is to put as much money under government control, so it’s without opposition to convert the dollar to the Amero at the time of the adoption of the N.A.U. What gave me that transformation is well underway. The secret agreement of the security and prosperity partnership (SPP) by the U.S.A., Mexico, and Canada and the Civil Assistance Plan (CAP), an agreement whereby the Canadian Army and or the U.S. Army can cross the border in case of domestic disturbance by joining becoming the NAU Army. The asinine global warming being used as a blind as to what has been going on behind the scene, also explains the governments reluctance to any border action.

More news wanted in newspaper

If what you have done to this paper is typical of other papers is true — which I question, no wonder the industry is losing readers and in trouble. It has become  just an advertisement rag with a little news.

I have a son-in-law (Don Rowley) who is the publisher of the Flagstaff paper, so I do know how important advertising is to a paper. However, the Dispatch is ridiculous when it comes to a ratio of real news (both local and otherwise) and advertising and wasted space. Case in point front page and page two: One third of the pages are taken up with The Finder and Lottery columns. You don’t have to tell us where to find and briefly what they have to say: Articles such as Dear Abby, Around Town, Sports page, Dr. Gott. My heavens man, we know where they are. They are there every day, and a third of a page to tell us lottery numbers and how to find you? I take the paper for news. To top it off, on the Nation page you take up precious space to put in great big pictures of Obama and McCain like we might not recognize them. What I want is news!

I used take 45 minutes to an hour to read the news. Now I do it in 10 to 15 minutes. I am led to believe you just don’t want to pay for the news services and special column writers etc. So, I am considering dropping my subscription which I have had since 1954 (various owners) and paying more attention to TV. I understand you need the advertising, but I take (took) the paper for news.

Wilford Wiseman, Barstow

Editor’s response: We have not dropped any columnists or news services as a result of the redesign. We are still tweaking the changes and trying to get a good ratio of news in the paper to meet reader needs while still keeping it accessible to our busier folks.
