Spay/neuter law would be great for Barstow

It is great news that Barstow might consider a mandatory spay/neuter law for dogs.

There are so many good reasons why all dogs (and cats, too) should be sterilized. Spaying and neutering can reduce dogs’ aggression and territoriality — which makes sterilized dogs less likely to attack humans or other dogs. Sterilization protects animals’ health by reducing or eliminating their risk of several life-threatening reproductive cancers. Most importantly, spaying and neutering save animals’ lives by preventing unwanted puppies and kittens from being born only to end up euthanized because there aren’t enough homes for them all.

A spay/neuter ordinance is a sensible, conservative step to make Barstow a safer place for both animals and humans.

On Obama's trips

I find it disgraceful when President Obama abuses the privileges afforded to United States presidents. Our country is in a recession, our unemployment figure is sky-high and our economy is in the dumps. You would like to think that Obama would take his arrogant, smug, elitist head out of the clouds and do something about the sorry state our country and its people are in.

While most of us are struggling to make ends meet and trying to find employment, while cutting back on bare necessities to survive. His answer to the problem is to let the cronies in the Democratic administration handle them. Who are the cronies? Pelosi, Reid and Biden, the brain-dead trio. Obama should be called the galloping president because he is spending our money traveling around the world accomplishing nothing that would help our country. He is using our money to fly on Air Force One to campaign for his fellow Democrats. If he wants to campaign he should use his own money and reimburse us all the costs involved.

He tries to justify his so called vacations by visiting the Gulf states and offering no solutions to their problems. His wife goes to Spain on a vacation, wow, what a lucky woman. They say they used their own money for the vacation — so what? We still have to pay for her secret service protection and her entourage. Give me a break.

The Democratic administration must think that we are brain dead and cannot see what’s going on with their corrupt back-door dealings.

Pelosi want’s to have an investigation on who is financing the tea party movement instead of who is financing the proposed mosque in New York City. This should tell you where her head is which is under a donkey’s tail.

Obama says he needs more time for the economy to make progress while he is spending money we don’t have and putting our country in trillion dollars in debt. He states that our country would have been in worse shape if he hadn’t spend billions to bail out business and billions in stimulus money. Are we better off with his spending plan? I think not! I feel sorry for our next generation who will have to bear the burden of Obama’s self indulging plans.

Please, anyone who agrees with me needs to make their voices heard and get rid of the current administration with people who are connected to the people of the United States.
