Where is District 1 money going?
Well thank goodness the almighty Supervisor Brad Mitzelfelt came down off of his throne and agreed to advance a $52 million budget that he had refused to vote on in November because he felt his district was being cheated out of some money. Mitzelfelt stated that he never had any intention of jeopardizing those funds, he only wanted to make a point that he felt he was being singled out. Poor baby. He feels that “his” district deserves more money. Allegedly to help the constituents, but who is really benefiting from the Mitzelfelt regime?
Most people don’t realize just how big Mitzelfelt’s district is. Did you know that it stretches all the way to Hyde Park, Utah? Yep, that is where his $242,000 per year Chief of Staff — David Zook — lives. It seems that there is just nobody in San Bernardino County that is capable of doing the job that Zook states can be done via his laptop computer. Of course the Mitzelfelt regime denies that Zook lives in Utah even though as recently as April of this year Zook was treasurer of the Cache County Republican Party. See http://www.cachegop.com/web/org.html.
Now just look at the expenses of San Bernardino County! Some very highly paid employees live here. Just look at Mitzelfelt’s wife, Megan. With a stroke of luck she was hired two months after Mitzelfelt’s appointment! She was hired at over $120,000 per year! And for whatever reason, she was hired using her maiden name Blaney. We are lucky to have such stellar people in our employ, aren’t we? Now I am not in any way saying that something is fishy here. I know how angry Mitzelfelt gets at the suggestion of him getting Megan that job. Check out http://912patriots.weebly.com in the San Bernardino County section at a supervisors meeting earlier this year when he threatened Patricia Winkler and I or anyone else with being sued by him for spreading such rumors. The video will certainly open your eyes to our “representative.”
Mitzelfelt claims to be a backer of veterans, but recently when risk management employee Alan Westervelt told a real veteran and local resident, William Waters, to “shut up and listen” and that “the county would never pay for the damage that they did” to his [Mr. Waters] property, Mitzelfelt would not return calls or letters by Mr. Waters or myself regarding that damage. I guess disabled veterans that served in both the Marines and the Navy before Mitzelfelt was even born are not really veterans.
Fortunately, we now have Neil Derry to represent us. He is a buddy to Mitzelfelt. He also has not returned letters from Mr. Waters or myself, but at least he has an excuse. Derry has spent a lot of time with his lawyers and the courts trying to stay out of jail. I am certain that when he is not being arrested, he will do a great job for us. Those dam courts can really take a lot of time out of one’s busy schedule.
Now Mitzelfelt wants to run for Congress. Just think of all the jobs he can bring to his friends in Utah! After all, Mitzelfelt was trained and mentored by the honorable Bill Postmus. What more qualifications can one ask for?
