Appreciation for adoption support
Adoption is one of the most loving, selfless acts anyone can do during their lifetime. It takes time, energy, financial resources and, above all, unconditional love. I recently adopted two incredible children who I absolutely adore. They make my life complete, and I know — by their actions, the look in their eyes and warmth in their hearts — they feel the same way.
Each hug, every smile and all the “I love yous” bear that out. We are an adopted family; we are a “normal” family with lots and lots of relatives and friends to share our wonderful life. That same group of family and friends helped to make this possible. God blesses us with each of you. There are too many to thank in a letter, but you know how we feel. Thank you from all three of us.
We also would like to thank the caseworkers and staff at the Department of Children Services. Without your expertise and dedication, this family would not be possible. From the depths of our souls, we say thank you. Ms. Val, Ms. Joann, Ms. Linda and Ms. Don, will always hold a special place in our hearts.
To all the folks who made “Gotcha” a day so special and warm, keep up the good work and always remember you are making a difference in the lives of so many special children.
Ariana, Isaac and I would like to especially acknowledge our family members who were able to attend our special day of celebration. A lifetime of thanks to Tammy, Mark, Mike, Pam, Adrienne, Eric, Debbie, and Larry for coming to our special day ceremony.
We know, we rarely have control of the circumstances that lead to adoption, but because of the professionals who work with the kids and adoptive parents there are thousands of children who can now take control of their lives with help of a new family.
I love being a mom and I cherish all the everyday silly things children do. Thank you for giving us those special moments.
God bless you and God bless all our children.
Revonda, Ariana, and Isaac Parker, Barstow
