Babies, abortion and heaven

Pastor Dane Davis, while writing with the best of intentions (Saturday, June 3, 2017, “Do all babies go to Heaven”), has stepped in it again. While his purpose is to provide “words of comfort” to families who have suffered the death of a “pre-born” baby, he unintentionally gives a wink and a nod to those weighing the merits of a religious case for abortion. He uses the bible to support his case by stating that only those who consciously reject God’s commandments “are without excuse,” citing Romans 1:20, adding that this will result in “God’s eternal judgment.”

While he supports his claim that the unborn go to a heavenly home on the grounds that they have never rejected of God, he chooses not to mention that a baby, though born innocent, will, despite the godly intentions of the parents, grow to adulthood and be inexorably drawn into sin. As Paul wrote to the Romans, “There is no one righteous, not even one.” (Romans 3:10) and, alas, “… the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Without redemption through Christ, the soul is doomed, either to eternal death or worse, eternal hell-fire. All of which is a risk avoided by those who die in innocence. Jesus, while referring specifically to Judas the betrayer, but in a statement there for all sinners, said “It would have been good for that man if he had not been born."

While families who have lost a child may find comfort in Pastor Davis’ words, those considering the termination of a pregnancy in order to save the child should be very cautious about taking his thoughts literally.

Scurvy dogs

It’s way over the top when the rabid left calls Republicans, and by extension conservatives, “scurvy dogs.” What do you expect from people who applaud the actions of a fourth-rate comedian holding up an effigy of Donald Trump’s severed head? After all, it’s all about the moment and hate, don’t you know? Of course, if it were a photo of “King Barack” there would be hell to pay. Yes, it called free speech, but only for the left.

The writer’s tirade begs the question, “Just how terrible and mean are those 'scurvy' Republicans?” Hmmm . . . unemployment is now 4.3 percent, over 250K jobs created, onerous EPA and other regulations reduced, tax cuts on the horizon, soon-to-be repeal and replace of Obamacare, a newfound respect for the rule of law, and withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord. But wait, there’s more: A roaring stock market, thousands of construction job created building new pipelines, US and foreign companies now coming back onshore and investing in the US economy, including ship building, oil (those nasty fossil fuels) production, and manufacturing.

The funny thing is, the left and their sycophant-in-the-tank extension of the Democrat party called the Lame Stream Media, can caterwaul all they want, the fact is that President Trump is reshaping America after the eight years of an unmitigated disaster called the Obama regime. For you true believers out there, the world won’t burn up tomorrow, LA won’t be underwater, and for Tom Perez, that lunatic who heads their party, Mar-a-Largo won’t be underwater.

Hello? Hello? Anybody home? Huh? Think McFly! Think! It’s over six feet above sea level.

Legal abortion vs. illegal murder

Can someone please explain how the taking of an innocent little one in a mother's womb is not murder?

Imagine this — a baby is born and out of the womb and then the mother kills the child, it would be murder, would it not?

Groundhog Day

Another terrorist attack. Reminds me of "Groundhog Day." Same talking heads on the news saying the same stuff they've been saying for years:

"There's been another violent attack but we can't call it a terrorist attack yet." (Same MO as several prior radical Islamic attacks but we'll wait awhile.)

"Been confirmed the attacker is a young Muslim male." (We hate saying this because even though it's the same as several prior attacks, it's profiling.)

"You can't blame all Muslims for actions of a few." (DUH! Only a few crackpots say that. Rational people don't.)

"Attacker was kicked out if his mosque for radical ideas." (Guess authorities should have been told of this red flag.)

"He's been on the radar." (And on the internet spouting his venom.)

"If you see something, say something." (Seems like most imams and mullahs are exempt from this.)

Maybe for future attacks, and there will be future attacks, we can use the news footage from past attacks. Simply plug in the new location, date and time. Oh, and the number of fatalities. Radical Islam has a goal — same goal they have had for centuries. Kill the infidels and establish a worldwide caliphate. Must we deny their own words and actions so as not to "offend" them? Western countries have OD'd on PC. We have done this to ourselves by allowing the list of "offensive" comments and topics to multiply to the point of foolishness. We have an entire generation that has grown up in this PC madness. Is it any wonder that they have a meltdown when someone simply disagrees with them? Break out the Play-Doh, coloring books and safe spaces. Will they ever grow up? Of course, past generations have had safe spaces also ... they were called foxholes.

Mexicans are here to stay

I've had it up to here with all those so-called lovers of America as published on 05-01-17. Ugh! It doesn't matter what your argument against Mexicans becoming the majority and the Spanish language popping up every time you look around, we're here to stay.

And we also served in the U.S. Armed Forces, we also pay taxes, we also have our rights and we vote too. When you complain about us speaking Spanish, just imagine how the Ukrainian people feel about the Russians complaining about them not caring to speak in Russian. Just like the Russians stole all that Ukrainian territory is the same way Mexico's territory was stolen.

And when you complain about people speaking another language it just shows that you're envious that you're not bilingual like other people such as Italian, German, Indian from India, Japanese, Chinese and so many more. Do you also object when Native Americans speak in their tongues? And then you say that your complaint is not racial? You are so ignorant and your bigotry is showing.
