Let's see, now. President Obama, Hillary Clinton, the entire federal government (and not least, the IRS), with massive numbers of un-elected bureaucrats, the mass of the progressive left media, hordes of universities, colleges, and their professors, and all manner of "artists," performers, and celebrities, (and don't forget the far left Justices who have no understanding of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution or the Bill of Rights), all allied in some way to the altruistic ideologies of Marxists, communists, socialists, and progressives, have been bullying and attacking ordinary citizens in this country who wish to live their lives in peace according to the principals upon which this country was founded.
Farmers are forced to pay taxes on crops they grow to feed their own animals on their own farm, even though they sell that feed to no one. Old ladies in Connecticut are forced out of their homes just so their city can make a business deal which they believe will put more tax dollars into the city coffers.
We are forced to accept same-sex marriages even though it goes against natural law and is diametrically opposed to the fervent beliefs of those for whom their faith is the most important thing in their life. Our daughters are expected to use bathrooms and showers with no protection from unwanted males who are free to enter either of these places for the purpose of ogling, molesting, or worse.
People who donated privately to Catholic charities have been publicly outed, bullied, harassed, and lost their incomes. Nuns who run hospitals as an act of charity are expected, against their religion, to provide employees with free contraceptives and abortion services.
Hobby store owners, photographers, bakers, and florists are sued and boycotted to force them to participate in activities they find immoral and in violation of the tenets of their religion.
An all-Asian music group is refused permission to name themselves "The Slants."
On the campaign trail running for president, Hillary repeatedly announced that she wanted to overturn the Citizen United decision, even though doing so would violate the First Amendment.
Inner city kids are denied an education and left to rot in poverty for the sake of teacher salaries and tenure, with a welfare system that tears their families apart and renders them so dependent on government that their dignity, pride, ambition, and dreams are drowned in a sea of "good intentions."
The list is endless.
The people finally got tired of all this nonsense, Hillary lost, and Donald Trump is our new president. They don't like him, they say, because of things he has said. He hasn't done anything yet, and what he does is far more important than what he says. But I think they really don't like him simply because he is not Hillary. They didn't vote with their heads, they voted with their emotions, and they were so "all in" emotionally that they are having a national public nervous breakdown.
Crying on TV, marching and rioting in the streets, wringing of hands, vowing to leave the country (oh, please, make my day), refusing to perform at inauguration celebrations, public officials boycotting the inauguration ceremony, the whole bit.
If the pain of this one event is so unbearable to them, perhaps a little honest soul-searching, in looking at what they have been doing to others for years and years, will help them realize that the shoe is now on the other foot. It is insane to expect normal people to suffer these indignities without protest. Maybe now they will realize that they owe a lot of apologies to a lot of people.
