Name of man killed in Yermo stabbing released

YERMO • An 43-year-old local man was found stabbed in the neck in front of a home Thursday afternoon and later died.
The Yermo Fire Department, Desert Ambulance and San Bernardino County Sheriffs Deputies responded to a house on the 400 block of Williams Street in Yermo after receiving a 911 call from someone driving past the home at 2:27 p.m. The caller reported seeing a man lying down and bleeding in front of the home. The man was later identified as Guillermo Landeros, 43, of Yermo.
Yermo fire chief Bob Smith said that the victim was unresponsive when firefighters arrived on scene, and there were several people in the front yard of the house. Firefighters and Desert Ambulance personnel treated the victim and Desert Ambulance transported him to Barstow Community Hospital, where he died.
Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Tim Jimerson said a man has been questioned in connection with the stabbing, but he is not in custody.
