Gas station robbed early Wednesday at knife point

BARSTOW • Two men armed with knives and one look-out remain at large after they burglarized the West Main Street Chevron of money and merchandise early Wednesday morning, according to a police press release.

At approximately 2:07 a.m., the Barstow Police Department Dispatch Center received a call of an armed robbery that had just occurred, authorities said.

After an initial police investigation, it was determined that the first suspect went inside the business and purchased gas. While the first suspect was pumping gas, the second and third suspects went inside and confronted the clerk.

The suspects stole money from the register, merchandise and money from the clerk’s wallet, then left the business without the clerk’s wallet, authorities said.

After the robbery, all three suspects entered a 2004-2008 white four-door Nissan pickup truck and fled westbound on Main Street, according to authorities.

The suspects are described as three Hispanic males — one between 25 to 30 years old and 5 feet 7 inches tall and 180 pounds; the other two between 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and 180 to 200 pounds.

Further investigation is continuing and anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Officer Peter D’Andrea at the Barstow Police Department at 760-255-5511 or 760-256-2211. Persons with information and desiring to remain anonymous can call WE-TIP at 1-800-78-CRIME.
