Woman dies in I-15 rollover Saturday

NIPTON ROAD — A 61-year-old San Jacinto woman died in a single-vehicle wreck when her truck overturned on Interstate 15 Saturday afternoon.

Anna Binderim was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck towing a travel trailer north on Interstate 15 south of Nipton Road at 1:53 p.m. when for an unknown reason, she swerved to the left, according to a California Highway Patrol report. The truck began to spin and rolled several times. The trailer came loose and also rolled. Both came to rest in the center median.

Binderim, who suffered major head injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP report stated. She was the only occupant of the vehicle and was wearing a seatbelt. The CHP is investigating the crash.
