James Ramos adds three key staff members
Newly seated San Bernardino County 3rd District Supervisor James Ramos, who oversees Barstow, has added three members to his staff.
Deputy Chief of Staff Chris Carrillo, Legislative Analyst Tony Mejia and Communications Director Molly Wiltshire will join Ramos and two others in serving the 3rd District, according to a press release.
Ramos was elected on Nov. 6 and sworn in Dec. 3 to serve the 3rd District, which includes Barstow, the Morongo Basin, Big Bear and parts of the Inland Empire.
Carrillo will handle the supervisor’s policy operation including transportation, social services and land use issues. He previously served as senior field representative for U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein since 2006.
Mejia will be responsible for the research and analysis of policies and proposals affecting the 3rd District and San Bernardino County as a whole. In the past nine years, Mr. Mejia has worked for the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians in the capacities of intergovernmental affairs representative and risk management specialist.
Wiltshire will serve as the primary spokesperson for the supervisor. She will be responsible for contact with the press and development of community engagement activities throughout the 3rd District.
These new staff members join Ramos, Chief of Staff Phil Paule and Executive Secretary Julianne Torres in serving the 3rd District. The supervisor’s field team will be announced after the first of the year.
