Henderson pool will be closed on Wednesday
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Zachary Saiz jumps off of the diving board at Eda Henderson Pool during a summer swim on Tuesday. The pools regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eda Henderson pool will be closed this Wednesday in order to replace a pipeline.
Admission to the pool costs $2 per person, or you can purchase a monthly pass for $20. Lap swim is on Tuesday through Friday mornings 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and costs only $1. The pool is also available for parties at $80 per hour Fridays through Sundays 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with reservations.
Junior lifeguard training for children ages 10 to 14 costs $80 and will be offered through the City of Barstow Recreation Department, which will hold tryouts this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the pool. For more information on the junior lifeguard program call 256-7340.
Swim lessons will begin on July 1st through the City of Barstow. The lessons will be offered Tuesday through Friday in two-week sessions for a total of eight classes at the Henderson pool. The fee for lessons is $30. Morning and afternoon classes will be available and times differ according to swim level.
