Halloween fun

Kindergartner Jalia Perez, 5 — wearing the red and black of a ladybug, complete with antennae — tries to score in a skeeball game at Cameron Elementary School’s harvest festival Friday.

Cobwebs decked the Cora Harper Fitness Center for the Cameron Parent-Teacher Association’s harvest festival. When kids were done competing for candy, paddle balls and other prizes, Randy Crank of the city’s Parks and Recreation Department lured people into his haunted house.

“We’ve done it for close to eight or nine years,” said PTA President Tami Sabblut. “The Park and Rec (department) wanted to do the haunted house. We thought it was a great idea.”
