100 days of kindergarten

Parent volunteer Tina Grant, left, watches kindergartners, from left to right, Xander Mason, Francesca Garcia, Serenity Salkeid, and Johnnie Hernandez, string 100 pieces of cereal to create necklaces in celebration of their first 100 days of school at Yermo Elementary School Thursday afternoon.

All the students in kindergarten teacher April Frondarina’s class worked on several projects, such as writing to 100, finding 100 things, and placing 100 stickers on crowns. When students finished all the projects they were able to spend a fake hundred dollar bill at the class store that was filled with treats of mini-cookies, popcorn, pretzels, and other tasty snacks.
