Meeting to be held Tuesday at Arrowhead hospital

SAN BERNARDINO • The County Board of Supervisors are scheduled to meet in a special study session on Tuesday to discuss the impacts of the Federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

The Supervisors will provide direction with respect to funding and operation aspects of the State’s plan for implementation of the Act in the county, according to the agenda.

The PPACA was signed into law by U.S. President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010 and is aimed at decreasing the number of uninsured Americans, according to the White House website.

The meeting will be at 10 a.m. in the Oak Room of Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.
