Dog brings home human foot

NEWBERRY SPRINGS • Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating human remains found by a dog who brought home a human foot, prompting search and discovery of more parts in Newberry Springs.

At about 6:50 p.m. Sunday, deputies were called to the property on the 49000 block of Silver Valley Road where a dog brought to the front porch a human left foot with the leg bones attached.

Deputies searched the desert and located more body parts.

The cause of death is unknown. The race and sex of the remains have yet to be identified.
