Fort Irwin soldier found dead in home

A soldier was found dead in his house at Fort Irwin on Friday.

Pfc. Jeremy P. Wright, 21, was found unresponsive and not breathing at 10:41 a.m. Friday morning, according to a report from Fort Irwin.

The cause of death is still unknown and under investigation by Fort Irwin's Criminal Investigation Division, said John Wagstaffe, a spokesman for the post. An autopsy will occur tomorrow to determine the cause of death.

Wright was a member of the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment.
