Planning Commission to discuss issuing use permit

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

BARSTOW - The city's Planning Commission will meet on Monday at 7 p.m. to discuss the following issues:

• Whether a hair and nail salon at 400 East Fredricks Street should be allowed to open a massage therapy center.

• Whether a property on 708 East Main Street currently used as retail space should be issued a permit to bring it into compliance with current zoning rules. The property was built in the 1950s and the area was rezoned in the 1980s to mixed use.

• Whether a permit should be issued to an existing mobile home park at 1000 Windy Pass should be issued a conditional use permit to bring it into compliance with current zoning rules. The park began in the early 1970s and the area is currently zoned for multiple family residential uses.

The commission will meet at council chambers at City Hall, 220 E. Mountain View. Regularly scheduled meetings are televised live on channel 6 and recordings are placed on the city's Web site, www.barstowca.org.
