Four injured in highway rollover

BARSTOW • CHP officer Craig Bissett inspects a tire on a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was involved in a rollover crash near the intersection of Highway 58 and Interstate Highway 15 in Barstow on Tuesday afternoon. Bissett said that the tread separated on one of the tires, causing the driver to lose control and veer into open desert, where the Jeep rolled.

Two people in the Jeep suffered major injuries and were airlifted to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, and the two other occupants sustained minor injuries and were transported to Barstow Hospital.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
