BUSD students hit the books again
BARSTOW • Second grade teachers Claudia Banks (left) and Cari Mauldin (right) hang up the last few posters in Banks’ classroom Monday in preparation for the first day of school for Barstow Unified School District Sept. 8.
Banks, a teacher at Crestline Elementary School, which will now be the largest elementary due to boundary changes and adding fifth- and sixth-graders, maintains a positive outlook on the changes at her school and within the district this year.
“It’s just a matter of getting the kids excited and wanting to learn,” Banks said.
