SAN BERNARDINO — The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors recently approved a $212,950 contract for a water line replacement project at Calico Ghost Town Regional Park to Jacobsson Engineering Construction, Inc. The county currently operates campsites and cabins at the park.

“The new water line upgrades will comply with building code requirements, provide clean drinking water to meet current health standards, and enhance the camping experience for the public,” the county staff report says. Jacobsson Engineering will make the improvements to Campground “O” located at 36600 Ghost Town Road in Yermo.

The total cost of the project is $235,995 less than the expected $500,000 due to the construction bids being lower than originally estimated. The construction contract was awarded to Jacobsson Engineering Construction because they are “the lowest responsive and responsible bidder,” according to the staff report.

Jacobsson Engineering Construction Inc., located in Palm Desert, specializes in demolition, earthwork, underground wet utilities, storm drain systems and construction management.
