VICTORVILLE — The 29-year-old Victorville man arrested after authorities allege he had sex with a Barstow girl he met through a bowling league pleaded not guilty Tuesday to criminal charges.
Prosecutors charged Francisco Briceno Jr. with two counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child, court records show. Briceno is next scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 23, court records show.
Barstow police arrested Briceno at his home in Victorville, located in the 13500 block of Princeton Drive, Friday after the victim’s mother came to the department to report that her 15-year-old daughter was the victim of a sexual assault.
Officers interviewed the girl, who reported that she had met Briceno through a bowling league she takes part in. The victim told officers she has known Briceno for approximately six months.
Police said Briceno had sex with the girl when she invited him to her home in Barstow sometime last month.
Briceno was being held at High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto in lieu of $100,000 bail, booking records show.
