Chamber Connection: Chamber hosting golf tournament in Apple Valley

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

The Barstow Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual golf tournament on June 6 at the Ashwood Golf Course (Formerly Jess Ranch) in Apple Valley, which is a Chamber member. We still have room for players and sponsors. The cost to play is $65 per player, ($325 per team).

Our sponsorship program consists of three sponsorship categories, starting at $75. All three categories of sponsorship will have a large sign placed at the 1st tee box identifying your level of sponsorship.

Gold Sponsors will have their company name on a sign identifying them as a “hole” sponsor on one of the 18 tee boxes, receive a commemorative plaque, and if you are a member of a participating team, an 11x14 customized team photo taken at the sponsored hole.

The Silver Sponsors participating in the tournament will also receive a commemorative plaque and an 8x10 customized team photo taken at the 1st tee box sponsorship board.

Another method of sponsorship is to provide prizes for the opportunity drawing to be held immediately following the tournament. Whichever method you choose, you will be recognized as a sponsor and as a prize donor. To sign up to play or to be a sponsor, call the Chamber at 256-8617.

Chamber heads to shopping center convention

Later this month, I’ll be joining a team of Chamber members and city staff to attend the International Council of Shopping Centers convention in Las Vegas.

Our goal is to promote Barstow and everything good about it to the representatives from retail stores and corporations large and small who attend the event in the hopes that they’ll bring their businesses to the Barstow area. We have a top notch group of people on the team who are very passionate about the potential growth of our area, so we’re expecting good things to come for Barstow’s future!

Chamber part of Independence Day celebration

The Chamber of Commerce is a partner with the city for this year’s Fourth of July Celebration at the Robert A. Sessions Memorial Sportspark. They have a great lineup of fun for the whole family, including a very patriotic opening to the show, leading up to another spectacular fireworks display with a radio simulcast this year on Highway Country. More details are coming soon, but expect this to be one the best Fourth of July parties ever!

For more information about joining the Chamber, call us at 256-8617, or visit our website at www.barstowchamber.com.
