Adelanto man shot multiple times; suspect on the loose

BARSTOW • Authorities are seeking the public’s assistance in tracking the suspect in the shooting of a 38-year-old Adelanto man in Barstow on Saturday evening.

The suspect fled the scene after shooting Calvin Robinson multiple times in his lower extremities in the 500 block of West Fredricks Street, according to a news release from the Barstow Police Department.

According to the release, Robinson was shot at approximately 7:51 p.m. after an argument. Multiple shots were fired from the vehicle before it fled the scene.

Robinson was taken to Barstow Community Hospital before authorities arrived, according to the release. Robinson’s injuries were not life threatening and he was treated at BCH and released, the release said.

According to the release, the suspect’s vehicle is described as a “dark colored 4-door passenger vehicle.”

The relationship between Robinson and the suspect is still under investigation.
