Two-year-old Joseph Deer experiments with a slinky at the Barstow Drug Court’s garage sale fundraiser Thursday. According to Judy Mack, facilitator and mentor for the men’s group, proceeds from the sale of Joseph’s slinky and other items at the garage sale will be used to finance the drug court’s field trip and graduation. She said there are currently 46 clients going through the drug court, which is an 18-month program during which clients take classes for 12 months as well as attend Narcotics Anonymous or other 12-step programs. The garage sale will continue at 8 a.m. Friday at the Armory at 1601 Armory Road.
