Softball Sign-ups
Sign-ups are also upcoming for Barstow Little League Softball, for girls ages 6-16. Sign-ups will be held on Mondays Jan. 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, and on Wednesdays Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25, and Feb. 1. All sign-ups will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., at Sizzlers , 1523 E. Main St. in Barstow. The cost is $75 per child, with the second child at $70, and three or more at $65 each. A $5 discount for the first child will apply at the Jan. 2 sign-up only; a $10 late fee will be charged at the late sign-up on Feb. 1. Proof of age and three proofs of residency are required. American Legion Auxiliary meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 324 of Barstow meets at 6 p.m., the first Monday of each month at the American Legion Hall, 2181 Armory Road. A woman is eligible for membership if they are a mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, or granddaughter of members of The American Legion. Step-relatives are also eligible. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and its programs for veterans, young people and the community. Upcoming events are the topic of our discussions. Parental Alienation support group
Joshua Rose Foundation is starting a support group to provide education, support and coaching for parents who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships with their children due to parental alienation. This includes violation of court orders, refusal of visitation, blockage of contact and other tactics that interfere with the parent child bond. American Legion Auxiliary #324 to serve posole

Glassmates meeting
Glassmates will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday at 10 am in the Clubhouse at 701 Montara. The subject of this meeting will be Milk Glass of any color. Cancer Awareness Group
