Softball Sign-ups
Sign-ups are also upcoming for Barstow Little League Softball, for girls ages 6-16. Sign-ups will be held on Mondays Jan. 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30, and on Wednesdays Jan. 4, 11, 18, 25, and Feb. 1. All sign-ups will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., at Sizzlers , 1523 E. Main St. in Barstow. The cost is $75 per child, with the second child at $70, and three or more at $65 each. A $5 discount for the first child will apply at the Jan. 2 sign-up only; a $10 late fee will be charged at the late sign-up on Feb. 1. Proof of age and three proofs of residency are required. American Legion Auxiliary meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 324 of Barstow meets at 6 p.m., the first Monday of each month at the American Legion Hall, 2181 Armory Road. A woman is eligible for membership if they are a mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, or granddaughter of members of The American Legion. Step-relatives are also eligible. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and its programs for veterans, young people and the community. Upcoming events are the topic of our discussions. Parental Alienation support group
Joshua Rose Foundation is starting a support group to provide education, support and coaching for parents who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships with their children due to parental alienation. This includes violation of court orders, refusal of visitation, blockage of contact and other tactics that interfere with the parent child bond. Al-Anon meeting

Bingo
Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., will be offering super bingo on Tuesday with early birds at 6 p.m. All regular games granted $250. Buy-in is $15. Must be 18 years of age or older to play. Grill will be open. For information, call 760-256-5023.

American Legion Auxiliary #324 to serve posole
The American Legion Auxiliary #324, 2181 Armory Road, will be serving posole for a donation of $5 on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Open to the Public. All proceeds go towards local scholarships, helping veterans and veteran families. For information call 760-253-7744 or the legion at 760-252-8369.

Glassmates meeting
Glassmates will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday at 10 am in the Clubhouse at 701 Montara. The subject of this meeting will be Milk Glass of any color. Did you know that white milk glass (if it’s old enough) will turn purple in the sun? If you are interested in anything glass — come join, Everyone is welcome.

DAV meeting

Compulsive Overeaters Anonymous/HOW

Mojave Valley Carvers
The Mojave Valley Carvers meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8 to 11 a.m. If you have an interest in carving  come to the Senior Citizens Center, 555 Melissa Ave. During the carving sessions one of the carvers will introduce you and show you around.

Wednesday

Cancer Awareness Group
The American Cancer Society will sponsor a cancer awareness group every Wednesday at the Barstow Senior Center from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Benefit from sharing, advice, encouragement, and inspiration from others. Lunch available after meeting for a donation of $3. For information, call 760-256-5942.

‘Ups & Downs’ support group

Tai Chi classes
