Kim Harris Dance Studio will present is 24th annual dance recital at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday at Barstow High School. This years theme is "Under the Big Top" Tickets are $10.
The VFW Post 2143, 25190 W. Main St., will be serving a steak dinner on Friday at 6 p.m. Dinner donation is $10 and includes baked potato, salad, dinner roll, vegetables. Events at Barstow Senior Center
The Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., will be offering the following programs on Friday: The Mojave Valley Carvers get together from 8 to 11 a.m. Lunch is served from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Baked fish, scalloped potatoes, spinach, roll and mandarin oranges. Couple western dance lessons with Don Livingston from 6 to 7 p.m. Music and dancing by Don Livingston from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Admission donation $5. Bring a favorite dish to share. Don’t forget to check out the Barstow Senior Thrift Store, 929 E. Williams and our furniture specialty store, 907 E. Williams. Open 7 days a week. Karaoke at the American Legion in Newberry Spring #751 will be held the first and third Friday of each month from 7 to 11 p.m.. Everyone is welcome to come down to sing, dance, be entertained and simply have fun. Food will be available from the kitchen. All funds raised go to support veterans services and programs. The Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., will be offering the Ham Radio License Test from 8 to noon.
Newberry Springs Senior Center, 33383 Newberry Road, Newberry Springs, will hold bingo the first and second Saturday of each month. Doors open at 5 p.m. with play starting at 6 p.m. Hot dogs will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. The more in attendance, the bigger the jackpots.

Barstow Mall craft fair and mini swap meet
Barstow Mall is holding a craft fair and swap meet every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Space is free for non-profit organizations and all others are $5 for one spot or $10 for two spots.
