VFW to serve lasagna dinner
The VFW Post 2143, 25190 W. Main St., will have a lasagna dinner on Friday at 6 p.m. Dinner donation will be $8. Dinner includes salad and dinner roll. Come down and enjoy a home cook dinner. Donation helps support Relay for Life. For information, call 760 253-2610.
Events at Barstow Senior Center
The Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., will be offering the following programs on Friday: Mojave Valley Carvers from 8 to 11 a.m. Wii bowling tournament at 9 a.m. Lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuna casserole, broccoli, Caesar salad, roll, fruit cocktail. Western dance lessons with Don Livingston from 6 to 7 p.m. Music and dancing by Don Livingston from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Admission donation $5. Bring a favorite dish to share.

Karaoke at the American Legion in Newberry Spring #751 will be held the first and third Friday of each month from 7 to 11 p.m.. Everyone is welcome to come down to sing, dance, be entertained and simply have fun. Food will be available from the kitchen. All funds raised go to support veterans services and programs. Mojave River Valley Museum annual barbecue
The Mojave River Valley Museum will be holding its annual barbecue from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Activities all day long and dinner served at Dana Park. Full schedule of activities are available at the museum, 270 E. Virginia Way.
The Barstow Branch of the NAACP meetings are held on the third Saturday of each month at 10 a.m. at the Barstow Mall, 1860 E. Main St., office #1810.
Barstow Mall craft fair and mini swap meet
Barstow Mall is holding a craft fair and swap meet every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Space is free for non-profit organizations and all others are $5 for one spot or $10 for two spots.
