Ludacris to perform at Fort Irwin

FORT IRWIN • Grammy-Award winning rapper and film actor Chris “Ludacris” Bridges will perform at the National Training Center on June 8, according to a Fort Irwin news release.
The concert is part of the Center for American Military Music Opportunities (C*A*M*M*O) and Mission One Voice Festival Series to benefit U.S. military members and veterans.
Accompanying artists include Tommy Stanley, Charity Vance, Rashida, Nino Black and B. Taylor.
This is the fifth consecutive year of C*A*M*M*O’s Mission One Voice music festival tour. The organization is focused on music-based therapy, outreach and development for the military. Past performers on the tour include: NeYo, Estelle, Eddie Money, Patti LaBelle, Musiq Soulchild, Plain White T’s, and Trey Songz.
Ludacris is also scheduled to perform at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas on June 1 and military installations across the country.
“This should be a time of reflection for us to appreciate what they have done to keep us all safe and what their families have sacrificed by being separated from them,” Ludacris said in a news release.
The event is open to the public, but base access is required. The concert is restricted to persons age 17 and older and will begin at 6:15 p.m. with doors open at 3 p.m.
All active duty military personnel and their families including Army, Marines, Air Force, National Guard and Reserve units in the area are invited to attend. First responders, retirees, veterans and government employees are also invited.
