Spitzer Selling Casino Plan

FAYETTEVILLE — Batesville High senior Larissa Wells finished second in the shot put at the 5A-7A State Indoor Track and Field Meet at the Tyson Track Center on the University of Arkansas campus on Saturday.

Wells tossed the shot 35 feet, 7 inches. Natasha Shockley of Russellville won with a toss of 38-7.

Sophomores Madison Neely and Chelsea Tate are the only other Lady Pioneers who scored (top-8 finish).

Neely finished fifth in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 9.56 seconds. Pine Bluff’s Kanesha Hicks won in 8.82.

Tate finished eighth in the high jump with a leap of 4 feet, 8 inches. Bryant’s Allison Lowery won with a leap of 5-3.
