Excelsior students receive iPads

The Barstow campus distributed 21 iPads to eighth-graders, who will use the technology to complete math assignments, said Camren Jones, director of Excelsior Charter School’s Barstow campus.

“With the iPads, we are providing tools and resources for our students to be 21st Century learners,” Jones said. Jones said if the iPads prove successful at engaging the eighth-graders to their learning, the school will look into providing iPads for other grades as well. STAFF PHOTO BY KATIE LUCIA
