Dinner at the Moose Lodge
The Moose Lodge will be serving a deep fried pork chop dinner on Friday at 4 p.m. Donation is $7.
Evening of dinner and jazz
Barstow High School Band Boosters presents the Jazz Ambassadors for an evening of dinner and jazz on Friday, Jan. 13, with dinner from 6 to 7 p.m. and music from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will be held at Rosita’s, 540 W. Main St. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $13 for children under 10. Advanced tickets can be purchased at Rosita’s or at the door. For information, call 760-217-7641.
Karaoke at the VFW
The VFW Post 2143, 25190 W. Main St., will have Karaoke on Friday at 6 p.m. until closing. Reminder that the Karaoke contest will be at the VFW Post and contestants please come down and show us your talent. The event supports veteran causes. For information, call 760 253-2610.
Mojave Valley Carvers
The Mojave Valley Carvers meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8 to 11 a.m. If you have an interest in carving come to the Senior Citizens Center, 555 Melissa Ave. During the carving sessions one of the carvers will introduce you and show you around.

Peace March
The Art and Industrial Women’s and Men’s Club will be hosting the annual Peace March on Saturday at 10 a.m., starting on Williams St. (Barstow Road and Williams St.) and ending at the Cora Harper Recreation Center. The public is invited. For information, call 760-887-8950.
Breakfast at Hinkley Senior Citizens Club
The Hinkley Senior Citizens Club will have its Saturday “Prepared to your Order” breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Hinkley Senior Center, 35997 Mt. View Road. For $4.50 per person you may have pancakes or French toast, bacon or sausages, eggs, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, and milk. Coffee is available. Open to the Public. Barstow Mall craft fair and mini swap meet
Barstow Mall is holding a craft fair and swap meet every Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Space is free for non-profit organizations and all others are $5 for one spot or $10 for two spots. Bingo
Newberry Springs Senior Center, 33383 Newberry Road, Newberry Springs, will hold bingo the first and second Saturday of each month. Doors open at 5 p.m. with play starting at 6 p.m. Hot dogs will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. The more in attendance, the bigger the jackpots.
Little League Sign-ups
West Barstow Little League will be holding sign-ups on the following Saturdays: Jan. 14 at Route 66 Pizza from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and Jan. 21 and 28 at Fogelsong Park from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. A sign-up will also be held on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Route 66 Pizza from 6-8 p.m. Tryouts will be held on Jan. 21 and 28. The cost is $65 for ages 12-and-under, and $75 for ages 13-and-over. A birth certificate and proof of residency required. The Newberry Springs Senior Center and Cafe, 33383 Newberry Road, will be serving pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, Cole slaw, and dessert, on Sunday at 1 p.m. Donation of $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Show membership card and get a dollar off discount. Open to everyone.
