Woman in jail for ampm beer theft
The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office filed Wednesday, Aug. 21, a lesser, misdemeanor charge of shoplifting against Mancha, court records show.
YERMO • A woman was arrested Monday afternoon after she allegedly stole several cans of beer from the ampm minimarket in Yermo, authorities said.
Tina Mancha, 51, was located by authorities at a nearby restaurant approximately an hour after the alleged theft, according to Cindy Bachman, a spokeswoman for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
A clerk at the store reported at 4:47 p.m. that a female suspect, when approached, continued to walk out of the store with “several” cans of beer.
Mancha was arrested at 5:52 p.m. and booked at the Sheriff’s jail in Barstow for commercial burglary. Her bail was set at $25,000, according to booking records.
Mancha is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at the Victorville courthouse, booking records show.
