Barstow Film Office looks to cast local aspiring actors
BARSTOW • The Barstow Film Office is looking to cast local talent for a marketing and promotional video on Saturday.
According to City of Barstow spokesman Anthony Riley, the marketing and promotional video is aimed to showcase the City of Barstow to industry filmmakers.
“The Barstow Film Office through the creation of this mini film project will continue its aggressive outreach strategy to the entertainment industry in allowing them to envision the many filmmaking possibilities that exist within our wonderful city,” Riley said. “By producing this project we showcase to filmmakers the incredible locations, talent and resources that are at their disposal, furthering our efforts to increase economic development opportunities for our local businesses and residents.”
According to Riley, the Barstow Film Office is looking to cast two principal male actors, one in mid-20s, the other mid-40s to play security agents. Riley said prior acting experience is desired.
The office will also cast 15 background actors, Riley said.
According to Riley, male or female Barstow residents over the age of 18 can also audition for roles.
CL3 Productions will provide compensation and meals for those selected to be in the project, Riley said.
Auditions will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the old Barstow Community Hospital, 555 South 7th Avenue. Prospective actors should bring headshots and resumes with them or they can be emailed to email@example.com.
