YERMO • A woman died Wednesday afternoon when her truck veered off Interstate 15, rolled into the desert and struck a perimeter fence, authorities said.
The name of the woman has yet to be released by the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner's Office.
At approximately 3:20 p.m., California Highway Patrol received a report of a single vehicle rollover crash on northbound I-15, south of Fort Irwin Road.
The woman, driving alone in a silver Ford F-150, veered from the number two lane and onto the right shoulder, according to CHP officials.
She was pronounced dead on scene, according to CHP.
CHP and personnel from the Barstow Fire Protection District responded to the crash.
CHP is investigating.
