BARSTOW • A non-profit that grants wishes to low-income adults and permanent nursing facility residents announced the formation of a Barstow chapter on Tuesday.
The Twilight Wish Foundation, headquartered in Doylestown, Pa., appointed longtime community volunteer and current Barstow Senior Center President Jeff Eason Sr. as the director of the newly-formed Barstow chapter.
"I'm very excited about being a part of Twilight Wish," Eason said. "I'm looking forward to helping our seniors with the prospect of granting a long-awaited wish to brighten their spirits."
The organization grants wishes to adults over 68 years old with an income that is less than 200 percent of the poverty level annually or permanent residents of a nursing facility, according to a foundation news release. The group's mission is to honor and enrich the lives of deserving elders through wish-granting celebrations.
