Barstow three-year-old Samuel Gilmore waves a bubble wand to make large bubbles at Dana Park Tuesday. Samuel visited the park with his father, John, who said they were enjoying the relatively warm and breezy weather in Barstow just windy enough to create large bubbles flowing across the dull, green February grass. Barstow saw much nicer weather Tuesday than most in Southern California as a storm swept through, leaving as much as 10 inches of snow in some mountain areas, according to the National Weather Service.
