Project Superintendent Larry Soeolewski describes Monday how the new stage room, now covered in dust and construction refuse, will be used upon completion of Barstow Community College's Performing Arts Center.

The project was originally set to be finished and open in May or April, said BCC spokesperson Maureen Stokes. That date has been moved back and is expected to be available for student use in August or September said Dwight Calloway, director of maintenance and operations at the college. Stokes said the construction has taken longer than originally projected due to weather and other unforeseen obstacles.
