The Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., will be offer the following programs: The library is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for reading enjoyment. Annual Souper Bowl Fundraiser
The annual Souper Bowl Fundraiser will be held on Friday at the Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m. Local participating restaurants will be Chili's, Coco's, Los Domingo's, Idle Spurs, DiNapolis, Rosita's, Quigley's, and Sizzler. Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at Desert Manna's office at 201 N. 1st Ave., Ste. B, from any Desert Manna Board member or at the door. Desert Democratic Club meeting
The Mojave Desert Democratic Club will meet Saturday, at Quigley's Restaurant, 2841 Lenwood Road. Barstow's Clothing Exchange
The monthly Barstow Clothing Exchange will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Greater Hope Foundation, 231 E. Main St. (Please enter through the alley). Anyone in need of clothing is welcome. The exchange is open to anyone in the community and surrounding areas. This is a way to get children's clothing for free. The exchange also accepts any size clothing. Sizes available are newborn to adults. All clothing should be freshly washed and free of holes or stains. Please no resellers. Shepherd of the Desert 50th anniversary
Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church will be observing its 50th anniversary at 10 a.m. on Sunday, with a special worship service of thanksgiving. Today the church shares a vibrant ministry with St. Paul's Episcopal Church and other ecumenical partners. The public is invited for this day of celebration.
