American Legion Auxiliary meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 324 of Barstow meets at 6 p.m., the first Monday of each month at the American Legion Hall, 2181 Armory Road. A woman is eligible for membership if they are a mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother, or granddaughter of members of The American Legion. Step-relatives are also eligible. The purpose of the Auxiliary is to support The American Legion and its programs for veterans, young people and the community. Upcoming events are the topic of our discussions. Parental Alienation support group
Joshua Rose Foundation is starting a support group to provide education, support and coaching for parents who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships with their children due to parental alienation. This includes violation of court orders, refusal of visitation, blockage of contact and other tactics that interfere with the parent child bond. Resume workshop to be held on BCC
The Barstow Community College Transfer Career Planning Center invites the general public to a resume workshop. This free workshop will take place on Tuesday, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Transfer Career Planning Center (C 42) on the Barstow campus. The Barstow Senior Center, 555 Melissa Ave., will hold its weekly bingo game on Tuesdays at 6 p.m. and  Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. There will be a Lucky 5 in play and 4 power balls with each paying $250. Glassmates will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, February 7, at 10 a.m. in the club house, 701 Montara. The subject of this meeting will be Red Glass - any red glass. Mojave Valley Carvers
The Mojave Valley Carvers meet every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at 8 to 11 a.m. If you have an interest in carving  come to the Senior Citizens Center, 555 Melissa Ave. During the carving sessions one of the carvers will introduce you and show you around.
