Parental Alienation support group
Joshua Rose Foundation is starting a support group to provide education, support and coaching for parents who are experiencing difficulties in their relationships with their children due to parental alienation. This includes violation of court orders, refusal of visitation, blockage of contact and other tactics that interfere with the parent child bond. Blood drive
Barstow Community Hospital, 555 South Seventh St., will be hosting a blood drive Tuesday, from 1 to 6:30 p.m. Donors may enter to win one of four $500 holiday shopping sprees at local malls, Target or Walmart. Donors also receive and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty Points that may be redeemed in the online store at www.LStream.org. Healthy individuals at least 15 years of age may donate blood. (Those 15 and 16 years of age must provide Life Stream with written parental consent. Parent consent forms are available at any donor center, community blood drive or at www.LStream.org.) All prospective donors should be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis.  Please drink plenty of fluids and bring photo identification. The Lions Club is looking for new members with fresh ideas.
