APPLE VALLEY The Granite Hills golf team wrapped up the Desert Sky League title with a win at the eighth and final league match of the season on Thursday afternoon at Apple Valley Country Club.


The Cougars' Lorenzo Morgan took medalist honors for the second time with a 72, one shot ahead of Barstow's Jason Bales.


Bales was medalist six times this season and won the league's player of the year. Also on the all-league team are Morgan; Victor Valley's Dane Trudeau; Burroughs' Anthony Sween, Jarod Brown and P.J. Homer; Barstow's Tim Rader; and Granite Hills' Nick Peter.


Granite Hills shot a team score of 414, while the Aztecs finished second at 466.
